Farmers Market Customer Experience & Sales Associate 

Ahualoa Family Farms, based in Honoka’a, is looking for some wonderful nutty people to help with retail sales at farmers markets. To succeed in this role, you must have a desire to become a mac nut and coffee expert, enjoy interacting with people, working independently, and enjoy sales.

Farmers Market Responsibilities:

• Represent AFF and create an enjoyable experience for customers
• Driving our van to and from the market
• Set-up and tear down of booth/display
• Customer interaction: samples, sales, credit card and cash transactions
• Maintain market displays
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Job Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid driver license to drive company vehicle
• Functioning and reliable personal phone for communication and transactions
• Ability to learn and effectively communicate our company mission and values to customers
• Ability to develop and effectively communicate product knowledge to customers
• Dependability - must have reliable transportation and consistent presence at the assigned market(s)
• General math skills - must be able to perform basic arithmetic using a calculator
• Ability to ring up sales and make change using our point-of-sale register and software (Square)
• Strong verbal communication skills, speaking in clear and understandable English
• Ability to lift up to 50lb
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, although a chair may be used, in varying weather conditions   
• Prior customer service and sales experience is a plus, but not required 

Salary: base and commission, up to $24/hour total

• Market days vary by location, and may be weekdays or weekends. In addition, occasional popups and special events.
